Careers at Aqua Aurelia.
46 suites. One team — and perhaps, soon, you.
The people who work here stayed because they found a place where they could settle. A small house, a management team on site, a team that holds together.
What you can expect.
We can’t offer you a corporate benefits programme —
and we don’t want to. What you find instead
is concrete and felt in everyday life.
Short lines. Real responsibility.
Management sits in the house, not in a corporate head office. If you have a question, you ask directly — not through three departments first. If you want to take on responsibility, you get it, along with the trust that goes with it.
Marisa trained with us and today runs the reception — including after her parental leave, with full responsibility. Paths like hers are not the exception here.
Fair pay, fair hours.
We pay above the collective agreement rate, scaled by length of service. Structured working-time models that fit around family and daily life. Public transport support.
And long-term employment — we look for people who stay, not seasonal staff. As a member of Fair Job Hotels, we are connected with houses that share these values.
Training we pay for.
DEHOGA Academy, IST courses, supplier and sales training, language courses, certifications in reception and tourism management.
If you don’t yet have a school-leaving qualification, we support you through the external IHK examination. Whatever you want to learn, we fund it — as long as it fits the house.
Respect that goes both ways.
A permanent team — including in housekeeping, which many hotels outsource. Here, every member of staff has her own floor and her own place. And if a guest crosses a line, we stand behind you — not behind the revenue.
„The honest and warm nature of the team — that is one of the main reasons we keep coming back.“
— Guest review, Booking.com
How we work
Across departments.
A hotel with 46 suites is small enough for everyone to know each other. Restaurant, reception, housekeeping, administration — if you work here, you know the colleague next door, not just from the rota.
Open and direct.
Management is in the house, so are the department heads — reception, restaurant, housekeeping. If something isn’t working, it’s addressed. If someone has an idea, they bring it up. Short lines make that possible — and we use them.
Backing when you need it.
If something runs low at the breakfast buffet, someone says so before a guest notices. When reception is busy, a colleague from the office steps in.
And if you find yourself in a difficult situation — with a guest, with a task, with something on your mind — we stand behind you. That is not the exception here, it is everyday life.
What responsibility means to us.
Our housekeeping team is permanently employed — every member of staff with her own contract, her own floor, all year round. Many hotels outsource this or book day by day. We don’t.
Some hotels offer guests bonus points for skipping the daily clean. We don’t — because it would mean our team gets fewer hours. Consistent work is not a cost line for us, it is a foundation.
Almost all staff are employed year-round. We rarely work with seasonal staff — because a team that knows each other works better than one that has to find its feet every season.
If you join us and are still learning the language, you get support — in daily life, in the team, sometimes with handwritten vocabulary cards for specialist terms like Badelatschen or Schmutzwäsche — words you won’t find in any textbook, but need every day.
And if life has made your career path harder for other reasons, you will find a place here where you can work and settle.

Training & getting started
Marisa trained with us. Today she runs the reception — with full trust, full responsibility. She is not the only one who has taken this path.
Katharina Bender took the hotel management journeyman’s examination herself. She knows what good training needs — and what it doesn’t. You work on real tasks from the very first day, with a mentor who takes the time.
What we offer:
- Hotel management apprenticeship (Hotelfachfrau / Hotelfachmann)
- Hotel management apprenticeship with Fachhochschulreife qualification
- Dual study programme: Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Management
Speculative applications — always welcome, even when no position is advertised
Coming from further away:
Subject to availability, we provide a place in our trainee flat share. You don’t need to sort out accommodation before you start with us.
„Every day has a good moment for me. I enjoy coming to work every day and I value the appreciation, the trust and the team spirit. Frau Bender as managing director lives this wholeheartedly.“
— Svenja Parrisius-Kröger, Deputy Director
Certified as a Fair Job Hotel.
Fair pay, respectful treatment, transparent working conditions — these are not promises we make to ourselves. As a member of Fair Job Hotels, these standards are externally audited and confirmed. We carry the seal because we meet the criteria.
At the same time, the membership connects us with businesses that share the same values. A network of houses where staff matter — and guests can feel it.
Baden-Baden as a place to work
Baden-Baden is a town where you can settle well. Small enough to feel at home, open enough to feel connected. Forest, town and countryside sit so close together that after work you can be in the Black Forest in ten minutes — or in Alsace in twenty.
The Lichtentaler Allee after work. The weekly market on Friday morning. Modern art at Museum Frieder Burda, just around the corner. Lakes and rivers when the weather warms up. And a town that is international without being anonymous.
Many who start here, stay.

How to apply
Send us your application — we need a cover letter, your CV and relevant certificates. References or a letter of recommendation are welcome.
For trainees, there is also a short application form as a PDF.
We will get back to you within a few days. If it’s a good fit, we invite you for a conversation — and a tour of the house. You should see where you would be working and meet the people you would be working with.
No suitable position, but interested in the house?
Write to us anyway — speculative applications are expressly welcome.
We look forward to your application:
