Some guests say the breakfast alone is reason enough to come to Aqua Aurelia.
We think they are right.
In the morning, a buffet that returning guests have refused to miss for years. At lunch and in the evening, a restaurant where you eat in peace — a good glass of wine, no rush, no noise.
Both under one roof. Both looking out at the Caracalla Therme.
Breakfast
Daily from 7.00 am to 11.00 am —
at weekends and on public holidays until 11.30 am
Our breakfast is not a buffet you tick off. It is the first good moment of the day.
Freshly sliced fruit — seasonal, international. Smoked salmon. Grilled vegetables. A made-to-order omelette, freshly prepared — with cheese, bacon, peppers, or whatever you like. Add our muesli bar, Bircher muesli from the fridge, and the coconut chia pudding that returning guests have been heading for first for years.
Bread and rolls come from Böckeler. The honey from Geroldsau. The wine and Sekt from the region. You can taste that someone puts thought into every order.
On the panorama terrace
A view of the Caracalla Therme and the Altes Schloss. Birdsong, blossom, morning sun — and somewhere in the background the school next door, which according to Frau Palazzo "gives a lovely synchronisation of sounds." Once you have had breakfast here, you know what she means.
Indoors
White tablecloths, white napkins — but not stiff. Comfortable, manageable in size, looking out at the spa. The music is chosen by Rainer Bender personally. You sit, you stay, you are not rushed.
Breakfast in your suite
If you prefer to stay upstairs: no problem. Simply order the evening before at reception or call in the morning. With a personalised card you can choose everything individually — exactly as you like it.
Also for outside guests
Our breakfast is known well beyond Baden-Baden — and still worth a recommendation. Guests who are not staying with us are very welcome. Please reserve in advance — especially in high season. Simply call reception.
Breakfast à la carte: 25,00 € per person
Children up to 12 years eat free of charge; from 12 to 18 years: 12,50 €.
Tip: If you add breakfast when booking, you pay the direct-booking rate of 17,50 € instead of 25 € per person.
Lunch and dinner in the restaurant
Wednesday to Sunday, 12.30 – 9.30 pm
Kitchen: 1.00 – 9.00 pm
No noise, no rush, no wedding party in the next room. At Aqua Aurelia, the restaurant is like the rest of the house: quiet, relaxed, personal.
At lunch and in the evening, a menu that is small and deliberate — every dish has earned its place. Mediterranean cooking meets regional classics: Bœuf Bourguignon, Züricher Geschnetzeltes, or the broccoli soup that has been on the menu for years because nobody wants it to go.
Seasonal additions: asparagus in spring, pumpkin in autumn, goose in winter. With wine from the region — our recommendation is at hand.
Vegetarian dishes are a matter of course, not an afterthought.
Outside guests are very welcome — with a reservation, especially in high season.
