Baden-Baden up close.
Right outside the door — and mostly on foot.
Our hotel sits in Baden-Baden's spa quarter, in the middle of town. The Lichtentaler Allee starts five minutes away, the Festspielhaus and the Museum Frieder Burda are within walking distance, and the Black Forest begins at the edge of town.
What is worth your time, what you can skip, and where to eat well — we live here, and we are happy to share what we know. In our articles you will find personal recommendations, local tips, and everything we would tell our guests at reception.
Strolling & enjoying —
old town, cafés, Lichtentaler Allee.
From Sophienstraße through the Kurgarten to the Kloster Lichtenthal: Baden-Baden is a town that works on foot. Where to find the best cake, which weekly market is worth a visit, and why the Lichtentaler Allee is our favourite walk.
Culture & art —
Festspielhaus, Frieder Burda, Casino.
Germany's largest concert and opera house, a museum right on the Lichtentaler Allee, and the casino where Dostoevsky wrote “The Gambler”. Plus the Theater, the Trinkhalle, the Kunsthalle and more — all reachable without a car.
Active & nature —
Black Forest, Merkur, hiking trails.
The Black Forest begins at the edge of town, the Panoramaweg starts right at the hotel, and the Merkur is reached by funicular. Which routes are worth your time, and where to eat well afterwards.
