The municipal theater was established in 1860-1862 according to the model of the Paris opera. The representative mirror hall can be rented for weddings.

Festival Performance House (Festspielhaus)

With 2500 seats the festival performance house in Baden-Baden is the biggest opera-house and concert hall of Germany. On the 18th April, 1998 the new building (former City railwaystation of Baden-Baden) was opened, the architect was the Viennese Wilhelm Holzbauer. From the outset to finance privately planned the cultural company, the first one privately financed opera company and group company of Europe originated after a public financing. Yearly the Herbert-von-Karajan-Musicprice is lent.


For over 200 years the ball rolls in the historical rooms in their quite high-ranking personalities from the whole world were staying. The casino of Baden-Baden unites with his style, the history, exclusivity, elegance and belongs therefore to the oldest traditional gambling house in whole Europe. The casino of Baden-Baden belongs to the nicest gambling houses worldwide.


In the 19-th century the Kurhaus was created in Baden-Baden by master builder Friedrich Weinbrenner from Karlsruhe in the classicistic style. It was constructed in place of the promenade house.

In 1839-1842 the Trinkhalle was built after the plans by Heinrich Hübsch and one of his student s,Friedrich Weinbrenners righthand of the Kurhaus.

On 16 corinthian columns the Trinkhall, which is 90 meters long, is rested. You can look at 14 wall pictures in the open hall. These have been formed by Jakob Götzenberger. Famous places for excursions from the surroundings are shown with myths and legends of the region. Today you can also find a tourist information desk with ticket sales in the spring room.

Museum Frieder Burda

The famous collection of Frieder Burda focuses on classic and modern art as well as contemporary.

There are almost 800 painting, sculptures, objects and others on paper.

National Art Gallery

Be inspired by modern, contemporary international art. The Art Gallery was built by Hermann Billing and Wilhelm Vittali in the middle of the park at Lichtentaler Allee.

Museum for Art and Technology (Kulturhaus LA8)

In its conception the museum for Art and Technology (nineteenth Century) is unique in Germany, focuses on interaction of art and technology in the nineteenth Century.

Fabergé Museum

The Fabergé Museum is located at the Sophienallee. The Museum was dedicated to Carl Peter Fabergé’s lifework. The collection contains the whole spectrum of Fabergé’s art work. You can admire the famous imperial Easter eggs of the tsar family and other pieces of jewelry and articles of daily use.

Bathing Museum

In 1847 during renovation at the ‘Stiftskirche’ the ancient steam bath has been detected. Two large basins filled with thermal water provides relief from the steam bath. A hot-air room is also available. 

Congressional House (Kongresshaus)

The congressional house is directly located at the wonderful parkway at the Lichtentaler Allee and is through 3 big conference rooms and 13 meeting rooms an ideal location for congresses, conferences, seminars and Workshops.
