Favorite Castle, a jewel!
The baroque Lust-Schloss Favourite in Rastatt-Förch, only 6.5 km from the Aqua Aurelia, is an unchanged preserved jewel of the highest European rank. A jewel with precious furnishings such as the Florentine Cabinet, unique in Europe with its 758 Pietra-Dura picture panels from Florence, with the world's largest collection of Meissen porcelain of the early period, its show kitchen with flashing copper crockery and faience to match every dish, and a spatially impressive Sala Terrena over all floors of the castle.
The whole is embedded in an idyllic garden: on one side cut in the baroque style with tree-lined avenues, on the other side in the style of an English landscape park.
From 15.3 to 15.11. there are hourly guided tours and after the visit you can enjoy your impressions in the castle café with pastry ice cream specialties made from the finest ingredients.
